Yes, there's a small hose that connects to the plastic overflow container.
You probably now have air in your cooling system.
When the car is COMPLETELY COLD, take of the radiator cap - coolant should be right up to the top. If it isn't, top it off. Next, you have to get that hose reconnected to the overflow tank, and fill that up to the lower line.
After that, drive the car, let it cool off, and re-check. It may take a few days to work the air out.
