Default Good news from my mechanic

Decided on some Preventative Maintenance on my cruiser now that it's up in years and mileage so I dropped my PT (96,000 miles) off at a shop that I've used before and had them flush the brake fluid out. Even though it's a closed system, water from condensation can get in and cause a mushy brake feel and mine was sort of getting there. I also told them to check the whole front end ex: bushings, A arms and front wheel bearings.

There's been so much talk about the bushings and bearings I was hesitant about what they might find.

I went to my Sheriff's job and 6 hours later went to pick it up. $32.50 for the brake flush and NOTHING else. He said everything on the front end checks out fine.

Why are so many owners having bushing and bearing problems and with 96K on my 2001 everything is fine????

Also found a place on-line (Rock Auto.com) and for $242.81 I ordered everything for the timing belt change later this year. Timing belt kit, water pump, gasket and O ring, serpentine and alternator belt and belt tensioner.
