Welcome to the site Chris.

What won't work. did he say? As long as the crank sensor ( no matter where it's located) sends the information to the right place it should work, but then again I'm not a technician. Chrysler made changes along the way like doing away with the EGR pipe that was on the 2000/2001 and I suppose they changed to crank sensor position somewhere along the line too, but both sensors send the same kind of info.
