Default Took my own advice

I was cleaning up the engine compartment yesterday and doing a full detail. Took off the air cleaner and in order to do that I had to take off a vacuum line and air temp sensor out of the intake. I bent the very small, very fragile little tip off the air sensor and when I bent it back it halfway broke but not all the way. After cleaning I carefully put it all back together and as soon as I started it up, the dreaded engine light came on so I knew I'd need a new sensor. $29 later I had a new one in my hands. The PT wasn't running bad but the light stayed on.

So I took the air cleaner off and found out the tip had broken clean off, swallowed up and through the throttle body into the engine. I put the new sensor on, took the negative battery cable off for 5 minutes (never lost the pre-set radio stations) and took it for a ride.

The engine light is off and it's running fine. No ill effects from swallowing the little blue sensor tip. In fact if anything, it's running really good. Took it up to triple digits just for a minute (old airport road - no traffic) and it ran really good.

Got a break that time.
