Default Re: Timming Belt Change Help-Getting to tensioner

Thanks alot. I knew I read somewhere to jack the passenger side of the engine up. I think I read jack it about 4 inches,and be careful about the electrical connectors. Some have had them break. I think maybe the throttle position senseor connector may have to be watched close, But where I am having the trouble is here:
:::::::
Raise engine with jack until engine support bracket bolts are accessible.
Remove support bracket bolts.
Remove support bracket. ::::::

Thats a pretty good bit of clearance to raise it.Is 4 inches gonna damage anything else? I couldn't get it to go that much, About 2-1/2 inches, Then the car started raising....Unless... I must have missed a bracket in there somewhere....

Or maybe its because I didnt disconnect the Ex manifold.(I knew I should have)
Anyway, I appreciate the help. I printed the instructions out. Gonna PASTE them in the Haynes Manual...

Gonna go out to the shop and give it another try....
Thanks!
