Re: PT Diesels: we weren't worthy
1) Diesels haven't caught on in the US the way they have in Europe.
2) They DID offer a diesel for a while in the Jeep Liberty - which also had the same 2.4 L engine as base.
3) Emission laws hurt a lot of diesels - they aren't easy to get certified.
I think they should have done to the PT what BMW did with the MINI - mild redesign, but new engines and slight improvements, but I saw no reason for them to kill the Neon, either...
