Me I cant see any reason that the PT is not offered in a diesel the VW TDI is a awesome power plant great millage and tons of get up and go

You go find a VW bug wiht a diesel and it will be $100's higher than a non diesel
The Pt would have been a great car to try some thing in and the really sad part is they already had them in production

Trucks don't have the same emissions requirements that cars do. The CARB and the states that followed have prevented all but the most recent diesels from being sold.
