ALL of the collision information given on their website is total and complete bull and will probably cost someone their life, at least their car. do not believe that replacing an engineered reinforcement with absorber that is designed to absorb collison engery with a 1INCH DIAMETER STEEL PIPE is a good thing. the bar sits further in than the liftgate, meaning that the reinforcement will not protect the liftgate as mentioned in thier site. if you install this, be aware that in a rear end collision, even a light one, your car will suffer ALOT more damage than with a factory bumper setup. rear body panel replacements and liftgates are not CHEAP on these cars. If i could, I would have their collision information BANNED from the internet and replaced with a WARNING about increased damage potential and increased risk on injury. as for the front bumperette kits......death trap. removing the front reinforcement affects AIRBAG TIMING, meaning that you will bounce off your steering wheel before or after the airbag goes off in the event of a front end collision. the 1 INCH STEEL BAR does NOT negate the damage like they claim it does. sorry to go off like this, but being a collision tech, i have to sound the warning bell when something aint kosher.
The stock bumper isn't rated for anything over 5mph so you are screwed either way..

When you get rear ended at anything over 10mph it doesn't matter rollpan or not its going to mess up the rear frame and get into the floor pan of the car.

Lets get down to reality, you want to scare people fine, but how about telling them the stocker isn't worth a hill of beans either in a real world crash.

Or when you get hit by an SUV it is going to go OVER the rear bumper anyways and hit the hatch and enter the trunk so the rear bumper don't matter there either, and I have the pics of my accidents to prove that.

You don't need scare people..

My personal thanks to veteran and novice crewbies that have offered information and how-to's they have been instrumental in taking LiquidPT from modded car to stock to live a more quiet and sedate life.
