No, they wouldn't put a separate actuator for that function but that would be electrical whereas your talking about not functioning with the remote, right? If so, the actuator isn't receiving the signal from your hand-held devise.

Just looked at the 5 pages of wiring for the door locks. Each door has a switch and a motor. If any were bad the lock wouldn't work at all, but they all get the signal from the RKEM (Remote Keyless Entry Module) so that "might" be your problem.
