The change in the gap setting from .50 to .40 has me wondering , If I haven't had any problems with my OEM plugs and wires for 60,000, why would I change to new type plugs and smaller gap ??

Doesn't a larger gap ( if properly tuned) use fuel more efficiently as long as the coil sends enough spark ??
I'm probably going with the new Champion 7570's and new premium ignition wire set.
Also is the air-raid intake worth the price for the benefits for a daily driver, 3000 miles or less a year ??
