Default Re: PT Overheating at idle

hey there..
yep.. live in the jax beach area..new here from savannah ga..

let me go down your list:
Lets see, what's left.......
1. Air in the cooling system (sounds expensive)
2. Cracked head gasket (are you loosing any water?) No, I am not losing any water...
3. Bad thermostat .. could be.. if so, this will be my second one in 40,000 miles..
4. Water pump malfunction.. God, I hope not.. I had my first water pump replaced at 16,000 miles, the second one replaced when I replaced my timing belt at 78,000 miles (I currently have 109,000 on my car)...

I am going to find a 5 star dealership here in the jax area and hope that they do not rip me off. I have taken care of my PT with all scheduled maintenance done on it. I have also had my timing belt replaced (as mentioned above), A/T flushed, brakes flushed, twice the fuel injectors cleaned, tune-up, a/c maint. done, rotation of the tires every 6,000 miles and oil changes every 3,000 miles with Castor high miliage oil.
Anyway, I appreciate any further feedback from you... I did read that you said that issues like this are usually the fan (96% of the time)...I hope that this will not be the issue here...
thanks so much!
