Before buying any Sirius Compatible radio I'd wait until their new recievers come out that will be able to receive signals from both the legacy Sirius Sats and the XM Sats, now that the companies are merged. Fourth quarter this year was the last estimate I saw. When the FCC cleared the way for the merger, they required dual band radios be available no later than early 2010. They also required that all-la-carte pricing be available so customers would only have to pay for the channels they want.
If you don't wait, then you will only be able to get standard Sirius channels, plus an option to purchase their pre-selected set of XM channels that are echoed on vacant Sirius channels.
If you do wait, then you can select any or all channels you want to receive, based on your monthly payment.
