Hey wesinator,
Ok, are you looking at doing pin striping, or more involved graphics, and are you thinking of doing the graphics in paint, or vinyl? For example, if you are looking for a simple vinyl Pin Stripe, you can pick up a roll in black, or a variety of colors, and patterns, and then grab some masking tape, and tape a layout using the Pin Striping till your happy with everything, prep the area with using a wax and silicoln remover to make sure everything sticks nice, and neat, measure if nessesary to double check your straight, peel off the backing, and your good to go, or you could swing by a Body Shop and have them apply it for around $100.00 or so. If your looking at doing a simple pin stripe on your own, to me, the best place to run something like that woud probably be close below the belt line picking up from a tappered edge from the PT Emblem and extended around the back of your trunk in one continuous flow.
Another thing you could do with Vinyl that is pretty cool is to run a Ralley Strip either dead center, or off to the side from your hood, over the top, and down the back to give it a more racing look.
If your talking laying down some painted graphics, then your talking about getting into some money. I can walk you through how to do some pretty extensive graphic designs depending on what you are looking for, but that is up to you.
Like Crewzin was saying, If Flames are done right, the curves can accentuate the rounded lines of a PT nicely.
The big difference between Vinyl, and Paint is time, and cost. Most anything in Vinyl is a matter of a few hours start to finish, and can run between $100, and up depending on what all you want to do. Something like what I have will take upwards of 45-60 days to do at a Shop, requires exensive disassemble of your ride, and will run around $2700 and up depending on how far you want to go with the design.
Anyways, here are a couple pic's of mine I laid out, and shot a couple of years back.
Let me know what your thoughts are, or possibly post a rough idea of what you are looking for, and I would be happy to see what we can come up with.
Go easy,
