The tranny actually "learns" how you drive (actually, the computer "learns"). Mine used to drop down to third at about 40 mph, but now, as I drive easier, it'll stay in 4th to about 35.
I have averaged just over 25 mpg - total overall - over 76,000+ miles - I keep a log of all the gas I put in.
