Wink Full Replacement Gauge Pillar Pod

Last week, I ordered the Mopar Performance full replacement gauge pillar pod from Chrysler PT Cruiser Dual Gauge A-Pillar Pod

Received it today and from looking things over, this will completely replace the stock a-pillar trim piece. Now directions do call for some 3/8" drilling but I'm working on coming up with an alternative to that for my install.

First I wanted to share this link with everyone in the case you have been looking for a nice quality piece. I got it simply because it was MP, not knowing it was a full replacement.

Secondly, the main reason I posted this thread is to find out how you go about removing the stock a-pillar trim piece? I know in my 1989 Shelby CSX and other Dodge Shadows of the late 80s and early 90s you simply pull with some force outwards towards the dashboard and there are like three metal clips that are fastened to the metal body part of the a-pillar itself. Is this the same for PT's? It may sound dumb, but is there a how to when it comes to removing this trim piece?

LMK!
