Re: Service-Manual for Mopar 6-CD player?
We bought the PT new. It came from the factory with a single CD player
and we had the dealership put in the 6-cd mopar player before we took it home. I changed the battery the other day so it was without power disconnected for the first time for about 1 hour.
No blown fuses in fact the CD player does make initialization noises when you
first power on the radio. The radio doesn't anymore show a CD-player to be selected however. It's like the radio has forgotten a networking setting to be able to find and control the CD player ... I think this was a volatile setting that was lost without the battery.
I would guess if I had the paper work which came out of the mopar 6-cd player box that I assume the dealership used and tossed I would find the setting magic info to cure this problem. Perhaps it would be cured if I removed the CD-player and manually unloaded the CDs which are stuck in it?
The service department can't or won't help us unless we bring it in to them and of course they are going to get us for an hour or more of labor.
Anyway was thinking for calling up dealership parts dept to see if they have a 6-cd player and see if I can get to see the paper work.
I was hoping someone here might have had this same issue but you are the first kind reply I have seen in some weeks.
