Re: Service-Manual for Mopar 6-CD player?
I don't think the radios require a security code since it never asked for one after the battery pull.
BUT ... I do think the radio's need to determine they have a CD player to communicate with. The radio head must either know a CD player is present because they are given a setting when installed or they know this because the CD player communicates once it successfully initializes at each power up.
Either #1 or #2 ?
#1 It could be that the CD player is jammed after having it's power pulled and isn't sending a "I am here and good to play" message to the radio head. In this case I just need to pull the CD player and clear the CDs and it will then work perhaps. Guess I need to do this somehow.
#2 It could be that the radio head lost a manual setting "you have a CD player attached" when the battery was pulled and until that setting is manual given again it will never work again. This would be a secret setup
procedure that we would like to know about.
I did read somewhere about the CD players becoming jammed, nothing mentioned a loss of connection but might make sense.
