IF, whoever puts your new struts in, marks everything just right, you can get away with not having it aligned. They did it for me but it's not easy and not every shop will do it. The alignment kit only consists of two bolts (one for each side) but they rake you over the coals for it. They are about $30 just for the two bolts. The bolts take the place of the upper bolts (one on each side) that hold the strut in place. The new bolts allow for the (I think) camber adjustment to go + or - 3 degrees. There was no adjustment on the OEM bolts.
I buy most of my stuff on-line so you can just check around or try your nearest auto shops and shop around for the best price. You don't need anything fancy unless you've lowered your PT and then they have special struts and shock made just for lowered cars.
