It really depends on your needs, sound and functionality. I know for me, a 10` sub wouldn't cut it.

As it stands, I have a Kenwood 1600W amp with 2x12" Polk audio subs (along with factory tweets and mid range) and find it insufficient. I have looked (and tested) at 15" and 18" but found that the accomodating sub boxes are typically too big. Generally you would need to remove your last row of seating in order to fit them properly.

I am about to test Bose highs and will let you all know what I find.
