If there is no dyno comparison it did't happen. There are MANY ways to route cold air to the intake. Look at any ff class (fast fwd) at the track, they have 4-6" short rams with (what looks like) rain gutters running to them. I trust my k&n... It's your call

Have seen on the dyno up to 19 lbs/ft torque loss with an open intake and a measley 2-3 hp gain. The only time you need to run an open intake is with a big turbo setup. Check this out.
