Question Increasing tire profile
Hi to all. In Australia the 2007 Touring GT comes without a turbo, mine being a typical example with the 2.4l Autostick, Inferno Red. However, this model here has 17" wheels with 205 x 50 tyres (sorry we spell it that way in OZ)
With these rims is it possible to upgrade the tyres to 60 or 65 profile?
I realize it will alter the speedo reading but I would like less noisy and more comfortable tyres, so I thought upping the profile might do it.
Also on the same rims could I fit wider tyres, eg 215 or 225?

Also if it's possible is it safe?

Any advice welcome.
