Smile Re: Problem on hood- I have a "point"

Hey their Everyone,

Yep, the prop hood is a problem and all too common for a little reversed dent. For the most part I would recommend not trying to do this kind of repair yourself as you run a very high risk of cracking the paint in the process which could easily cause a flaking problem leading to a real mess.

Instead my best advice would be to look for a PDR (Paintless Dent Repair ) Service around your area. They are usually a mobile service that comes to your home or place of business and uses specialized body hammers, mirrors, and so on to gently massage out small dings without having to damage the paint. Just like some of my other posts where I talk about Mobile Air Brush Services to fix small scratches, PDR Services usually will charge by the car meaning if you have any other imperfections, you can get them all removed for a small rate, and the Service usually takes no more than an hour or two from start to finish. The cost for this type of Service should run between $100 - $150 for the entire car depending on how much work is involved which is a little on the expensive side but way cheaper than taking it in to a Body Shop where they can run $500+ for this type of repair.

That is my two cents in it anyways. Go easy, and I will catch you later.
