Front License plate revisited....
A while ago I bought one of those Moss brackets for mounting the front plate, since I hate the way the stock one sticks out. I wasn't crazy about blocking the intercooler either, but finally decided to try to mount it this weekend. The problem with the Moss bracket is that you need a REALLY long drill to mount it the way they instruct or remove the whole front dam section to drill in the metal frame (no thanks!). After picking the lint from my navel for a while, I realized you can use the stock bracket but mount it just on the LOWER two holes. This had a couple benifits - it allows more air to the intercooler than the moss bracket, it doesn't stick out so far, and it angles the plate at a slightly downward angle, thus being less inclined to directly reflect a radar signal (hey, we need whatever slight advantage we can get!).
I'll post a picture when I get the chance . The upper two holes? The Moss kit came with plugs but you can just get them at hardware store and paint as necessary (my baby's black so I didn't need to!)
