Default Re: 180 degree coolant sensor

As far as who told me...

My local A&A Auto Parts, and another place around me called Custom Import Performance, although CIP seemed to just agree with A&A, I don't particularly know why the OBD would turn the engine off, or even if it's capable of doing it. I just know what they told me, and the didn't have the sensor to sell me so I don't see it as a usual sales pitch, "well you might want to buy this sensor too..".

I was curious if anyone has found it though, or changed the thermostat without the sensor and not had problems? I'm looking for feedback on the issue, or if someone has changed the sensor where did they find one.

As far as the comment...

Do I expect it to be like a race car going down the road... no. I don't even expect it to be fast. But it will have more power, with an intake, exhaust system, throttle body, coils and and a re-tune it should respond significantly better.

For $1200 or so I consider it a decent investment. if I want more I'll look into cams and manifolds, but, I don't have a second car to have the time to pull the engine completely apart.

If you want I'll dyno it after if I can find a shop with one in my area.
