Default 3M Chrome Strips?

I just recently bought a 2008 Burgundy PT Cruiser base (here in Vancouver Can)
Steal of a deal, 9800, 30k km. It was a repo though, back seats were heavy stained. Well I used some turtle wax ice spray detailer (it was on sale!) and some cleaner product that infomercials sell. Well No more stains (really surprised), Super slick looking outside. The car is now Brand new again (for a cost of 30$).

Now, my Girlfriend would love chrome on the grille, unfortunately I have no budget for a new grille. How is the 3m Chrome strip stuff sold at auto shops? I was thinking using the chrome strips on the grille, and around the upper line of the body (maybe a few other finishing touches) getting windows tinted and getting chrome moon hubcaps. Nothing overly drastic. Is the worthwhile to get? Is it hard to cut?

Also, on a side note, for 2008, does the Chrysler warranty transfer with the car? A dealer told me to come in to *sign some papers* so that the warranty transfers to me, and that I only had 30 days to do so (but they don't need anyone else to come, just myself and proof of ownership sounds fishy!)

My last car was a 2004 saab 93, and well it mad be sob. Repairs here and there and the cost for repairs was WAY to much (9000$ for a transmission? 2000$ cause power locks stopped working?) Impossible to do even basic mods like an audio system. So far I'm very happy with my PT cruiser. It's Clean, Simple, looks good and has utility! I love the backseat folding/removal too. I have a great Dane so it comes in handy! I just hate the mileage, the car is worse then most full sized sedans! I have a feeling it's about aerodynamics.
