Default Re: code help -- p1684, p300, p700

P1684 = don't worry about that one.

Fault Code P0300 - Multiple Cylinder Misfire

A misfire code in a specific cylinder (P0301-Cylinder #1, P0302- Cylinder #2, etc.) usually indicates a possible problem with a plug or ignition wire. A P0300 code indicates the misfire is random and moving around from cylinder to cylinder. The cause here would likely be something that upsets the engine's air/fuel mixture, such as a major vacuum leak, leaky EGR valve or unusually low fuel pressure (weak pump or faulty regulator).

An answer from one of technical experts:

P0700 only means there are transmission control module codes to be read with a scanner.

The TCM codes will explain more of the fault information.

The TCM cannot trigger the light, only emmisions related faults can trigger the light. So,.... they program a generic code to tell the PCM that there is a fault.
P0700 is the TCM code for the PCM.
You may have one or many TCM codes to be read.

From a search on the forums, P0700 usually turns out to be the transaxle solenoid pack is bad and needs replacing.
