I dont think i am in need of an alarm beyond what is installed via the factory (OEM). I like the Key Fobs and dont really care for the aftermarket ones. My main purpose for auto-start is the winter. From what i have seen you cannot get a remote start without an alarm package.

If thats the case can i use the alarm/remote fob during the winter and the original key fob during the summer?

Or is there a remote start only package?

I am looking at Viper and Compustar alarms.
