Current formulation DexCool works fine for all vehicles. And it's what I have on hand so I use it.
They are both excellent products in their current formulations.
Would I run D/C HOAT if I had it on hand in my GM? Probably not since my 2008 Duramax truck is worth a bit more than the out-of warranty 2004 PT. Although I am sure the D/C HOAT would work in place of DexCool.
