They are both excellent products in their current formulations.
Would I run D/C HOAT if I had it on hand in my GM? Probably not since my 2008 Duramax truck is worth a bit more than the out-of warranty 2004 PT. Although I am sure the D/C HOAT would work in place of DexCool.

What you do is what you do. When I bought the 2001 at 80K miles, the independent garage had changed it to DexCool about 2 years earlier. I don't know if that included a full flush. The radiator was quite thoroughly clogged. Cause and effect? I dunno. Would I use DexCool? Not on a bet.
