I recently saw a shift knob that had blue led lights at the top of it and I am very interested in buying it, but I've never changed a shift knob before. Basically I just want to know what I'm doing before I dive in there and break something. Can anyone give me instructions on how to change it?

Edit: Here's a link to a pic of the same model as mine.

My shift knob is exactly like that.

Edit again: I saw another thread where someone was selling the same shift knob I was interested in getting but I can't find the thread now.....if you see this, I know you can help me, lol.

It's easier than you think. Pull up. First time off is a little stiff, after that it's pretty easy!
I will mention I bought an aftermarket knob that attached with allen screws. The knob itself was softer metal (lead almost!). So I finally ended up getting my dremel and a grinding bit in there and making some dimples for the allen screws to set in. Prior to that I had problems with the new shift knob sliding around/off.

Good luck and enjoy!
