Bedding brakes requires making several abrupt stops from about 60 MPH to about 10 MPH, but not to a full stop. Some ceramic brake instructions call for four repeated stops.
I can truthfully say that brakes take a while to break in, and that the bedding really helps.
Does the whine happen all the time? Does it only whine when you are using the brakes? Does the whine go away when you give the brakes more pressure? (That can indicate that the pads are vibrating and might benefit from pad adhesive that sticks them to the caliper.) Was the previous set of brakes ceramic?

The whine is only when I am using the brakes, at the end of the braking period--moments before I come to a stop. The whine increases with more pressure. The previous set was NOT ceramic.
Havent had a chance to take it back yet so I dont know how they were bedded. Should they replace these pads? I have usually had good work done here but I dont know... I have never heard my brakes whine before.
