Originally from the Thumb of Michigan, I have seen my share of snow. So far this year we haven't seen any high wind, SO FAR!!!  
Here in Florida Wal Mart sells numerous soft bristle brushes in their auto section, maybe you could use something like that if you are that concerned. I never was that concerned when I had to brush the snow off my other vehicles, I just used a snow brush and "whipped" it off.
