the bolt covers are 1/2 inch ones.
the directional vent knob (the one in the center) is smaller than the on/off vent knob (the one at the bottom of the vent)
to keep the bolt cover on the smaller knob all you use is a little square of the 3m tape on the head of the plastic knob..the 3m stuff is great and holds up well to the cold/hot temp.
the bolt cover fits sung on the larger knob (the on/off knob) I used a pair of pliers and a cloth to squeeze the cover on to the knob.
I ended up using two kits to cover all 8 knobs...I have four left over..I plan to drill holes thru the center of the extra four and use them on the headrest posts
