Here in Florida Wal Mart sells numerous soft bristle brushes in their auto section, maybe you could use something like that if you are that concerned. I never was that concerned when I had to brush the snow off my other vehicles, I just used a snow brush and "whipped" it off.
I myself an just waiting for the snow possible this week being its below freezing at night the rest of the week. about 15 degrees below normal temps. It will be my first time driving the PT in the snow. Hooligan I know what you mean about seeing your share of snow. Seeings though Saginaw is the crotch of the thumb..
