Next time you see her ask which shelter she gave the food to. Let her know that you think the group should make the decision as to which shelter should get the food next time.
If she took the food home she will be very embarrassed but she will not do it again. If she confesses that she took it home tell her she should make a donation to a shelter ASAP.
