I dont think grease would be applied to the shoe or the drum. there is a slight bend in the rear plate that is slighty touching, thus creating the rubbing as the brake is applied harder for stopping.

Got the above PM from the OP....... Does not sound like grease will help with a rotating rub...... Like I said more questions needed to be asked.....
More like fixing whatever is bent needs to happen.........
