Hey their jbcrzn,
Well, way back once upon a time when I used to drive a Truck Long Distance, I had seen a couple of car carriers hauling loads of them down the freeways and thought they looked really cool. Then one day me, and my Father/Co-Driver at the time got stranded overnight in Minneapolis MN after our truck broke down so we decided to head over to the Mall of America to walk around for a while, and they had one of the first PT's on display so I got a chance to sit in one and check it out, and both my Father and I really liked it. A few months later, my Father bought a white 2001 N/A, and then shortly after my Mom got me to re-build it into a full on Woody with one of the early Cal Cruisers real Woody Kits, chrome smoothies, Visor, Continental Kit, and so on. I even air brushed the painted pieces of the dash to match. So I kinda got hooked on the PT.
Fast forward two years, I had a Plymouth Voyager Mini Van which my Family and I had forever. I mean we dove that thing forever until the trans finally went south on us, and then we still kept on driving it another full year before it finally just simply gave out all together to the point where I had to manually grind it into second gear and limp it down the road. So I figured it was about time to look for a better ride, and went scoping out the Dealerships when I got home off the road for a couple of days. I really wasn't even expecting to look at a PT, but all of the sudden stumbled across an Orange Dream Cruiser sitting on the Showroom Floor, and it just clicked! I brought my Wife back to see it, and she and the kids liked it, and one of my selling points at the time was that I usually am never really satisfied with my cars, and usually wind up tearing them apart to do custom paint, interior, and so on, and this PT already had most everything I would want to do to it. From cool paint, to cool interior, wheels, engine, and more, it was just a way cool car, and I wouldn't ever have to do anything to make it any cooler ever again (or at least for a month or two as it turned out)
My only catch was I needed my payment, and it actually took me eight hours negotiating to get her their but at the end of the day, that puppy was mine! Shrtly after i bought my PT, I had also bought my first Computer, and was just trying the Internet out as I stumbled across a PT Website, and shortly after I started making tons of Friends, and then doing Mods, and the rest is History.
So that's my Cruiser Story. You go easy, and I'll catch yall later on.
