I've owned 10 cars in the last 26 years, loved only two, and only had one that lasted more than 3 years. The one that lasted was a 1989 Plymouth Sundance. It lasted almost 250k miles or a little more than 10 years and I foolishly got rid of it because I thought electrical problems were hard to fix.
I can easily put 25k miles on a car each year. I have never gone a year without having to rebuild brakes, and I replace tires and CV axles every two years due to wear. I faithfully change my oil every 3k miles because I have to. Desert dust, desert heat, high altitude mountain roads, and city traffic are tough on any car of any kind, so maintenance is by the book for me.
When one of the previous cars had been in the shop for a few days, I had rented a 2001 PT Limited and loved it, so, when my latest moneypit/hamster mobile dropped it's second trannie in 6 months, I decided to see if Chrysler still made a quality product. When I found this one, I knabbed it. Yeah, it helps that they're not hard to look at ,too, and I'm getting the same or better gas mileage than I was with the old car, but I have
horse power and
torque, now!.
