well the PT is a non interference engine so No the piston did not hit a value and since you were going slow i don't think the valves would have hit each other so you should be good on that end

from all i have found out it is between $1000-$1200 for a timing belt usually they do the water pump and the tensioners at the same time and for just a little more i believe they can do the oil pump also.

Im looking at changing mine OR maybe trading I just hate to pay that much for what should be a $400-$5000 dollar job

the noise could have been if the belt had started to come apart and was slapping the housing

The really sad part is there is nothing you can do to keep the belt in good shape it wil ware and at close to 90,000 it will need replacing that sucks
