Default Grinding noise front end 2002 woody

At about 70k started with a front bearing noise when steering side to side. Then not only bearing noise but a clumping noise when on rough surfaces. Next a loud grinding noise making a turn, but went away.
The fix at 75k: left front bearing and hub replaced, lower control arms both sides, old ceramic brake pads ( 20k ) broke loose from backing on both wheels replaced with new ones, and last a front end alignment. $950.58 for dealer, and $70.00 for Sears alignment.
My local mechanic didn't want to do the job............
