I'll tell how I bought my '02 PT....
I went on Chrysler website, picked out all my options, put in zip code, and got all the dealers within 50 miles.
I then sent the same eamil to about 6 dealers, asking for a price for thw PT as I specified.
3 said I had to come in and talk, I said not with out a price. 
The others gave prices that spanned $1,000 from high to low.
I printed out the email from the lowest, drove over, showed the email, and they said, "yup", and I bought the car.
It's the way to go....  
I went back to same dealer for my '05.
