This thread is extremely educational for me.
My 2001, new to us early this year, came with the dimpled polished aluminum wheels. They are showing no propensity to lose air, with the Michelin Pilot tires. (Hence my question, several posts above, about the Korean brands that ooze air in my experience.) The 2001 was purchased in SoCal, and then moved to Arizona in about 2004. Neither location was prone to corrosion.
I really like the dimpled wheels. I mean really like `em.
On the basis of the experience with the 2001, I began the process of acquiring them for my 2004 as this thread was developing.
It's too late to back out of the deals, and I keeps my woid, yessir I do. I'll give the wheels a close inspection and report back, if there's anything to report.
