A recent Consumer Reports gives Everstart batteries, available at Walmart, a recommended buy.
Shudder at the mention of 2 of the worst possible companies, with respect to consumers - the bought and paid for "consumer reports" and "re sell stuff stwaight fwom china", and "Lets pay our employees just a touch over minimum wage, and exactly enough hours so we don't have to pay OT, or give "full-time" benefits, oh and recommend that they get on food stamps and state-run healthcare" - "oh and we don't pay women the same as men either" evil corporation wal-mart.

That being said - as far as a battery goes - Walmart's Everstart does exactly the job. No more no less. I've got an everstart in after the original mopar battery died this past summer - had about 5 years on the mopar.

Its been turning the engine over every morning for the past 4 months. One time this summer its going to piss me off that I still have it in there and I'm going AGM. Likely not long after I finish the audio setup and amateur radio install. I had to put her in since thats all I could afford at the time.

I drained one of the everstarts once and cut it apart (years back) It's held together with bubble-gum inside.
