Default Re: trouble with fog light switch?

That same thing happened to me 2 months ago.

After 2 weeks of pain to start the PT (but too weird because it only happened at noon when heading back to home from work) I though the problem was the battery (+4 years old) but a friend of mine that sometimes parks his fiat bravo next to my PT at work told that I left my fog lights on, i went to check it and they were off but the battery was almost drained, the next day I double checked that the light's switch were off (incluiding the fog's) after leaving the car parked and returned to check it after 4 o 5 hrs and guess what? the fog lights were on (with the switch on off position) then i started to notice the green lamp light at the dash board going on and off randomly while driving at day and the whole light switch was off (the fog light's switch can't be pulled out if the main light's switch is off right?) so i tried to tapping/shaking a little to see what happens and guess what? the green light at the dash board went on. The whole multi-function switch needed to be replaced ($200 plus work) but having the issue for a week left the battery in very bad shape.

At night when I need to "feed" my baby i need to switch off every thing that uses energy while the gas is pumped, the last thu i forgot to switch off the lights while i was at the gas station and just 3 o 4 minutes with the lights on and the engine off was enough to need a jump starter.

Today the car didn't started just fast clicking and dimished lights, the jump starter didn't help, not even my sister's car.

The fast clicking means the battery has not enough power to start the car right? but i though with my sister's car wired to jump the mine would be enough. Perhaps the battery is really dead or i didn't wired the both cars properly in the rush. Anyways that battery is done i need i new one.
