Default Cabin ventilation noises?

Whenever I turn on the air to a high speed, whether its A/C or not I hear an obnoxiously loud noise besides the airflow itself. It sounds like a fan or something. Upon turning the speed down I hear a somewhat faint rapid clicking noise, sounds like its coming from behind the glovebox. Everything is still operational, though. It worries me, especially now that the cold weather is really setting in, I need heat for my commute! Im really trying to keep the car out of the shop in effort to save money, so Im trying to do stuff on my own.

Any ideas? Blower motor possibly?

Its a 2002 touring btw.

Any help is appreciated!
