How old is the battery? Friends over on the Chrysler Town & Country board (they also do Dodge Grand Caravans) report that an about-to-die battery will cause all sorts of electrical gremlins.

I am to some degree still living in the good old days when about all the electrical system did was run the starter, the lights and the battery. I am slowly getting educated. As far as electrical quirks go, there is some correspondence between the Town & Country minivans and the PT Cruisers.
