That's the whole point. For '06 (actually a running change in '05 - mine came with it) they switched from aluminum to Composite (plastic) intake manifold that "breathes" better. You can bolt it on (with new bolts) - just have to support the oil dipstick.
Many have swapped the aluminum for the composite.
