Default Re: motorcycle insurance?

You're 19, I'm 54 soon to be 55. I have had a motorcycle for most of my adult life and currently have a FLT Harley bagger. For what it's worth here's my 2 cents. The insurance you're talking about isn't going to cover squat in the event of an accident if it's your fault. You will end up never being able to own anything for the rest of your life and chances are if you are still living at home your parents will end up losing a lot that they have worked for in their life times. Doesn't sound fair does it. Another thing to think about is, if you haven't taken a motorcycle safety course, you should before even considering riding on the road. In my opinion that should be mandatory nationwide before even being allowed to purchase a road bike. Riding 2 wheels on the road is very different from riding a 4 wheeler off road. You're gonna do what you're gonna do I can see by your responses as a long time ago I was just like you. I'm just asking you to think of others ahead of yourself as you will benefit from it in the long run.
Like I said, this is just my 2 cents and I don't mean to offend you. If I did I apologize. Take care and think about it long and hard.............Gary
