I'll be picking up a 180 degree thermostat this week. It allows the engine to run just a tad cooler, and it's cheap.
TripleJack,

I go along with your reasoning on the lower temp thermostat. However, don't expect it alone to be able to let the engine run cooler temps. The PCM controls the electric cooling fan, and it won't let it/them come on until the temp sensor (or what ever sensor it monitors the water temp with) tells it the water temp matches the parameters set by the original configuration for the stock t'stat.

I had made a suggestion to Mopar Performance that they solve the thermostat o-ring replacement question on the Stage I upgrade by including a lower temp t'stat and progamming the PCM to let the fans come on earlier, but I guess that idea was shot down.....

Let us know if you see any difference on the gauge or performance with the 180 degree replacement..
