Folks, this is my first post and wanted to add my nickels worth. I grew up around hot rods, the first car I remember was my fathers ’32 Ford hiboy powered by a ’48 MERC flattie with Ardun OHV conversion heads. That should really date me.

I use a GTECH unit to measure my performance improvements. You can check out their web page for details.

The baseline for my ’02 PT 5speed was 115.3 hp. The addition of a Volant Cold Air Intake System brought that to 125.3 and a Monza Pacesetter 2 ¼” CAT back exhaust system raised the output to an even 127hp. All tests are the avg. of 10 runs. The GTECH ratings are not static tests (not chained to a dyno roller) and reflect the losses for wind resistance, rolling resistance etc. The really good news is my daily grind fuel mileage went from 19.5 to 22.7 and trip mileage from 25.5 to 29.8.

Hope some of you fins these numbers useful or of interest.
